Jonathan is the owner and founder of Fine Gold Music, a boutique music firm based in NYC, focussed on licensing music for worldwide advertisements, films, network & cable movie trailers, video games and more. His licensing work has been heard in ads for Apple iPhones, Nike, Spotify, Cadillac, and more. Movies and trailer work include Furious 7, The Big Short, Moneyball, and more. TV shows include: Homeland, Mad Men, Narcos, Westworld, The Chi, and many more.

Prior, he was an A&R executive for Island Records, Q/Atlantic Records & Robbins/BMG & an A&R consultant where he worked with such artists/producers as Snoop Dog, Fat Joe, Steven “Lenky” Marsden, Wyclef John, Pitbull, Dawn Robinson & more.

 

Jonathan also provides music supervision and A&R services in projects ranging from documentaries, to indie films, ad campaigns to Billboard charting albums. He also manages Grammy award-winning producer Lenky, famous for the Diwali Riddim, and the Billboard #1 charting hit "Get Busy", by Sean Paul. In addition, Jonathan executive produced It's All About Dancing, a Jamaican dance-u-mentary

He is currently an adjunct instructor in music business at both Marymount Manhattan College and the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Mr. Finegold holds both a Bachelors in accounting and finance and a Masters in arts administration, from New York University.

A hip-hop fixture since 1985, DJ and radio host “P Fine” has been instrumental in presenting advance hip hop and up-and-coming MCs through his radio show on the influential WNYU-FM, his writing via CMJ and Dance Music Report and DJ’ing and party promoting at clubs such as The World & Palladium. In the mid 80’s he was a fixture in the Manhattan club scene and was active in helping to bring hip-hop to the Downtown scene.

This month, Jonathan has requested donations to Habitat for Humanity.

 

Habitat for Humanity partners with people in your community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. Through our 2020 Strategic Plan, Habitat for Humanity will serve more people than ever before through decent and affordable housing.
